We are in the process of developing a set of key statistics which can be shared here with our interested parties. New results will be found here as they are available.

Below are statistics for year April 07 - March 08.
(areas are comparative to funding allocated and area size).

The funding we have raised supports varying projects within Sporting Futures areas which are Derby City, Chesterfield, Erewash and Tideswell. We engage young people and enable them to build meaningful relationships with family, friends and the wider community using sport to develop healthy and crime free communities, therefore, fulfilling their full potential in life.

The figures below show just less than 2000 young people have attended sport and or physical activity delivered by Sporting Futures, broken down into male & female statistics. Compared with other Home Office projects, Sporting Futures are engaging a slightly higher percentage of female participation..

This chart shows an age drop off around 13 and 14 years of age, then surprisingly shows an increase at 15 year plus. Naturally you would expect the decrease at around the age of 17, this is due to young people having different avenues in their life and a change in life styles.

Age range spans age 8 to age 19 years.

Young people we work with have been supported to attend and take part in achieving accredited sports awards, especially working with Pupil Referral Units, secondary school & primary schools, targeting individuals or groups of young people who need the work that Sporting Futures delivers.
This graph shows the individual awards and number of young people who have achieved them. Collectively a total of 299 accredited awards have been gained within Year 07-08.
