Safer Communities Through Sport
A new report showcasing the achievements of the Safer Communities through Sport programme since January 2007 has been published.
The report demonstrates how sport can help reduce anti-social behaviour and have a positive impact on people's quality of life.
The Safer Communities through Sport programme aims to develop sport and reduce anti-social behaviour in rural Derbyshire, and is supported by a range of organisations including Derbyshire Dales District Council, High Peak Borough Council, Derbyshire Sport, Derbyshire Rural Community Council and the Peak District National Park Authority.
Young People Win Award
The Chesterfield team are very proud to announce that young people from Spire Junior School attended the Child Victims of Crime Tag Rugby Festival. The team won the Spirit of Rugby Trophy which was a fantastic achievement for the team who had only 4 hours of coaching before taking part in the festival.

April, May and June 30 year 9 girls completed the Sports Leaders UK
Young Leaders Award.The course helps the young people build confidence
and develop their leadership skills to pass onto other youngsters in
their school. As part of the award the girls helped to organise a mini
